Contempo is a certified Green Showroom and has received the Distinguished Business Award from Greenopia. We have been noted in numerous publications for the resourceful selection of Green materials we offer. Greenopia.com has deemed Contempo as an eco-friendly retailer based on the products and services we promote.
Greenopia is not a paid directory; companies cannot pay to be included. We are included because Contempo meets the strict standards of eco-friendliness.
ASID is one of the most respected national associations in the design community. Contempo has been an Industry Partner for more than 11 years. We have contributed to ASID’s mission of promoting qualified Designers and Partners.
Through education, knowledge sharing, advocacy, community building and outreach, Contempo Floor Coverings and the ASID Society strive to advance the interior design profession.
Contempo carries a strong belief in supporting the trade, and, along with ASID, promotes and encourages the good work of qualified designers.
The West LA Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization which promotes the well being of commercial, civic, cultural, educational, and industrial interests in the West Los Angeles area. As an active member since 1998, Contempo shares the goal of supporting local neighborhoods and business, as well as police and firefighters.
Their grassroots practice of reaching out and actively helping the community is the same theology Contempo practices and extends to its clients.
The chamber of commerce instills a sense of civic, business, and citizen unity, and we will continue to support their great efforts.
The International Design Guild (IDG) is the definitive measure of excellence in fine floor covering showrooms. IDG offers well-respected products which consumers know to be the highest caliber in flooring standards. Contempo has been a member for more than 15 years.
Products from IDG are not only the choice of our patrons, but our competitors as well. What makes our showroom unique is that, in addition to IDG products, we hand-pick and carry samples from over 200 other companies as well. This collaboration of eclectic, modern, and traditional options makes our showrooms unique and more complete.
Co-op America is the creator of The National Green Pages, which is a directory of nearly 3,000 businesses that have made firm commitments to sustainable, socially just principles, including the support of sweatshop-free labor, organic farms, fair trade, and cruelty-free products.
Much like Greenopia, Co-op America has strict guidelines and screens businesses to make sure they are promoting a Greener lifestyle.
