Tile Flooring

Tiles are among the most popular choices for bathroom flooring and there are many different kinds of tile flooring that you can use to decorate your bathroom.

  • Peel and stick tiles
  • Peel and stick tiles are the easier and less expensive way of to change your bathroom flooring. They are very easy to handle and its ability to stick down readily makes the whole re-flooring project quick. The downside to this type of tile flooring is that its edges and corners may not completely stay flat. It is also not advisable to use this type of tile flooring when your bathroom gets “drowned” most of the time.

They are also very easy to maintain and doesn’t harbor microbes so that they make a great choice for kitchens and bathrooms. Do keep in mind that ceramic tiles should be sealed or waterproofed periodically to prevent moisture damage.

  • Stone tiles
  • Stone tiles can range from long-lasting marble to slate to granite or limestone slabs. Like ceramic bathroom tiles, they also give that restful and spa-like look and require that they be waterproofed and sealed every two years to preserve their appearance.

Wood Flooring

Wood flooring in bathrooms are now possible thanks to laminates that work well with most bathrooms. If the idea of bathroom wood flooring still has you in doubt, then you may want to consider using faux hardwood porcelain tile. The porcelain tile made to look like real hardwood looks fantastic and gives out a soft yet executive look to the bathroom. If genuine wood flooring is used, be sure to wipe the floor dry immediately so that the moisture doesn’t seep into the wood.
