Organic wool carpet padding will remain cushy even under high traffic, and will provide many years of service. When it does, we urge customers to recycle it to the garden where it will safely bio-degrade while serving as an effective weed barrier and mulch.

Recycled and Recyclable, Rebond carpet padding is made from scraps of high density foams used in furniture making that are bonded together. Rebond carpet padding comes in various thicknesses and densities. It’s recommended to use a carpet padding of at least 5lbs and 3/8 inch thickness for light traffic, and a carpet padding of 6.5 lbs and 3/8 inch for heavy traffic. We suggest a 7 to 7.5 lb carpet padding for longer wear.
