Bamboo flooring can take a good bit of abuse, but still needs a little pampering every once in a while.

One should avoid sliding furniture over bamboo flooring without protection from rugs or floor protectors under the legs of the furniture. Even furniture that is stationary should have some form of barrier between it and the floor. It may also be a good idea to removed high heeled or spiked shoes before walking on a bamboo floor lest the floor receive dents in the finish.

As for cleaning a FSC Designer Bamboo floor, regular sweeping or vacuuming should be sufficient to remove particles that could scratch the finish. When the floor becomes in need of a more thorough cleaning, one should use only a damp, never wet, mop either with plain water or a very mild detergent. Water should not be allowed to stand on bamboo flooring as it could damage the floor.
